JBUK DAY 15: A SHORT BUT A VERY, VERY RICH JOURNEY

1. deutsch
2. english (scroll down)

Bonn is a town with different faces. In the streets are people from many different countries, but it’s obvious, that there are many representatives from the lands of thousand and one night. There are no chants of the muezzin, but a flavour of Shisha from the waterpipes in the air. The architecture in the center is still german. I’m not sure if that’s just my feeling, but in my point of view it seems like the very good times are over. At least a little outside of the central inner circle. But there is still a big presence of classical culture around and a vivid inner circle.
I’m leaving the place in the early morning hours. My goal is to leave Cologne behind me and go as far as my legs are taking me. The good message : It’s not raining! OK, it’s dark grey, but I’m optimistic. I cycle along thte Rhine and from one moment to the other an extremly pleasent feeling is overwhelming me. I’m thankful to be on this special trip by bike. It’s quiet and let me hear the calm sound of waves and the friendly chants of birds. The mood is getting better and better and even the dark grey sky is becoming light grey. The light is getting very pretty. If you were a photographer, you’re heartbeat is on a faster frequence now. I have to say, that you’ll not see it so good on the pictures, they are made with my oldschool smartphone I-Phone 4 (I’m uploading just the smartphone pictures here). But my bigger camera was in use too – very, very much!. Is there something like an industrial romance? OK, I’m absolutely more friend of nature and normally critical about industries, but the light was so good, that even this buildings looked very, very interesting. But that was about the light not about the buildings themselves, to be clear ;). I reach Cologne and what should I say? I’m very, very surprised! It’s beautiful, interesting, different, busy and it simply has good vibrations. I’m curious and decide very, very quickly to stay.
